A statuesque fern from the south eastern USA. An easy to grow and robust sterile hybrid. It is one of the taller hardy ferns and will grow to a height of around four feet. A shady, moist position will suit it well.

Hydrangea Belle of Dixie is a lovely old heirloom cultivar, that is probably more than 70 years old. Itwill mature into a full bushy shrub about 4 ft x 4 ft., and reward the owner with a spectacular display of blooms from mid spring into autumn.  The colour of the flowers can be manipulated from deep rose pink through shades of purple to pure baby blue by adjustment of the acidity or alkalinity of the soil. It has the added bonus feature of re-blooming on new growth like a rose.
